Chapter 11:

Considerations

Shane Yu went to a charity event to donate to impoverished students in Shengcheng. Looking at the somewhat dirty little children before him, he smiled warmly and affectionately, handing them candy and milk, and happily taking photos with them.

Seeing the bright, sparkling eyes of the little girl in front of him, Shane Yu couldn’t help but miss Sharon Yao’s large, watery eyes. Lately, her image had been constantly on his mind, and he couldn’t help but want to be closer to her.

His calls and texts to Sharon Yao over the past two days had gone unanswered; the little girl completely ignored him. It seemed he needed to use some methods to let her know she could never escape his control.

Shane Yu directly donated tens of millions of yuan to build a new school building, and then privately communicated with the principal…

On my way home from school, I was in a bad mood. I was surprised to see Shane Yu, dressed in a black suit, standing downstairs at my building.

I turned to leave, but Shane Yu called out to me, “Sharon Yao~”

Sharon Yao didn’t turn around, pretending not to hear.

“Sharon Yao, you stop right there!” Shane Yu threatened me from behind, clearly annoyed.

Shane Yu strode over and forcefully grabbed my wrist. “Where do you think you’re going? Do I have to come to your house to find you?”

I looked up and glared angrily at Shane Yu, who was dressed in a black suit.

I demanded, “What are you doing here?”

Shane Yu scolded me, “I texted you, you called me, and you didn’t even answer?”

Shane Yu pulled my wrist, forcefully closing the distance between us.

“There’s nothing to answer,” I murmured, looking down at him.

Seeing my attitude, Shane Yu’s handsome features contorted with anger. He dragged me towards his car.

I struggled, not wanting to go with him.

“We’ve had a deep relationship, why the long face?”

“There’s nothing between us.”
Shane Yu’s eyes were sharp, then he sneered, “Is that so? Why are you so heartless after we got out of bed?”

“You’re a beast…”

He threw me into the car, got in, and closed the door. He glanced at Lao Xu, who immediately started the car.

I stayed in the car, keeping my distance from Shane Yu.

After a moment of silence, Shane Yu spoke first.

Shane Yu looked at me with interest and asked, “I heard your father works in finance at the Zhou family’s feed mill? And your mother runs a beauty salon.”

“What do you mean?” I looked at him in shock.

“If you’re going to argue with me, why not just listen to me? Make me happy, and you’ll get your share of benefits. You don’t need money, but I can make your father the CFO, and I can also help out at your mother’s beauty salon. After all, we’re family.”

“I don’t need your help!” I said through gritted teeth, my heart filled with anger and disgust for this man.

However, Shane Yu completely disregarded my attitude and instead laughed. That laughter sent a chill down my spine, as if he could see right through me.

“Don’t be stubborn. With just a word from me, I can bankrupt your family, imprison your parents, and have a bunch of creditors chasing you. You’ll have no choice but to beg me to take you in. That’s a piece of cake for me.”

Shane Yu’s tone was full of threat, making me shiver. A wave of helplessness washed over me, tears welling in my eyes, but I tried hard to hold them back.

“What exactly do you want?” I asked, choking back tears, my voice filled with despair.

Shane Yu seemed satisfied with my reaction. He leaned closer and whispered, “I want you, to be my woman.”

My eyes widened, staring at him in disbelief. I was stunned for a long moment.

“To be your fourth wife?” I asked with a bitter smile, already understanding his intentions.

Shane Yu frowned, clearly dissatisfied with my answer. “I’m divorced now, marrying you isn’t out of the question.” His words carried a hint of seduction.

Shane Yu’s words were entirely meant to coax Sharon Yao. She was underage, so how could he marry her? He wanted her to stay with him for a few years first. If he still liked her, they could continue the relationship; if he didn’t, they could simply forget each other.

I took a deep breath, trying to remain calm. “But Uncle, shouldn’t this be a matter of mutual consent?”

“How can you be willing? You can talk to me about it.”

Looking at the man before me, I felt a pang of fear, but I still mustered my courage and said, “I…” I bit my lip, hesitating, “At least wait until I graduate from university.”

Shane Yu raised an eyebrow. “No, I can’t wait that long.”

“Can you give me some time? I’ll think about it.”

“I’ll give you five days to consider.” Shane Yu didn’t want to push too hard. He didn’t care about Sharon Yao’s decision; he just wanted to give her time to adjust. He wouldn’t give up until he lost interest.

I nodded. “Yes, thank you, Uncle.”

Shane Yu seemed satisfied with my answer. He smiled. “Then it’s settled. But I have a request: you have to reply to my messages and answer my calls within a week. Can you do that?”

“Sure!” I quickly agreed.

“Also, you need to stay away from other men this week. I don’t tolerate any infidelity,” Shane Yu continued.

“Okay!” I hurriedly agreed.

The car stopped in front of the restaurant, and Shane Yu opened the door for me. “Get out. I’ll treat you to dinner, and then I’ll take you home.”

Inside the restaurant, Shane Yu gentlemanly pulled out a chair for me, and only sat down slowly after I did.

When ordering, he asked about my preferences and dietary restrictions, showing great consideration. However, I was constantly distracted.

Throughout the meal, we barely spoke. I could feel Shane Yu’s gaze frequently falling on me; that intense gaze made me extremely uncomfortable.
