Serena Li ‘s face flushed. As she watched him stride towards her, her heart raced, and she instinctively wanted to back away.
Victor Mo raised his hand and pressed it against her shoulders, then gently pressed her against the wall with his body.
“ Victor Mo , let me go first. We can’t talk properly like this,” Serena Li said, pushing him away.
Victor Mo leaned down and whispered in her ear, “Did you see me treat that woman like that that day?”
His voice, carrying the scent of tobacco, penetrated her ear canal, causing an itchy and tingling sensation that was quite torturous.
In that atmosphere, she couldn’t think straight at all, let alone know how to answer his questions.
Serena Li turned her face away, avoiding his breath.
Victor Mo looked down at her delicate features and said, “That day, before I went to Dalian on a business trip, I came here to discuss a collaboration with a client. Serena Li and Boss Su sat by the window, where the floor-to-ceiling glass windows of the restaurant were clean and transparent.
Midway through her meal, Serena Li caught a glimpse of a car approaching out of the corner of her eye. Holding her knife and fork, she looked up and saw a Land Rover parked in front of the restaurant’s floor-to-ceiling windows. Upon seeing the license plate, she recognized it as Victor Mo ‘s car, and Serena Li’s heart began to race.
After parking the car, Serena Li saw Victor Mo get out and walk towards the restaurant entrance.
A moment later, the waiter led him to the empty table behind Boss Su. After Victor Mo sat down, he was directly facing Serena Li .
Victor Mo looked at her, a handsome smile curving his lips. Serena Li, a little nervous, turned her head away.
Victor Mo sat down, he ordered a coffee, crossed his legs, and casually flipped through the newspapers and magazines provided for the guests in the restaurant.
It wasn’t until something Boss Su said piqued his interest that he finally understood.
After receiving a phone call, Boss Su said to Serena Li , “Serena, your aunt mentioned to me before that your niece is beautiful, has a great personality, and is very good at dealing with people. She said you are still single, so she asked me to keep an eye out for suitable young men and introduce them to you. Your uncle has gotten to know you very well and likes you a lot.
