Shane Yu walked towards the villa next door. He needed to give Sharon Yao’s parents an explanation. After all, the two families were related, and otherwise, such matters would usually be handled by Assistant Liu.

Shane Yu went inside and saw that his brother and Sharon Yao’s parents didn’t look too happy.

“Let Sharon Yao come out. We want to ask her opinion,” Sharon Yao’s father said after a long silence.

“We slept a little late last night, and she’s still resting. I’ll send Sharon Yao back tomorrow or the day after,” Shane Yu said casually.

His words were very pointed… and the living room fell silent.

“Sister, what are you thinking…” My aunt looked at Sharon Yao’s mother.

Sharon Yao’s mother looked up at Shane Yu and questioned him. “Shane Yu, can you guarantee you’re truly sincere towards my daughter?”

“I, Shane Yu, am truly sincere towards Sharon Yao!” Shane Yu sincerely raised his hand to swear, but he didn’t say what would happen if he wasn’t sincere.

Looking at Shane Yu, whose smile was gentle and whose tone was calm, Sharon Yao’s mother said, “I’ll listen to Sharon Yao. If Sharon Yao chooses Shane Yu, I have nothing to say. If my daughter doesn’t like you, I hope you won’t force her; she’s still just a child.”

Then, Sharon Yao’s mother added earnestly, “After all, there’s a big gap between you two. Even if you two really get together, please be understanding of my daughter. She’s been spoiled since childhood and has never experienced hardship. I just hope you won’t let her suffer.” Tears welled up in her eyes.

“Please rest assured, I won’t let my woman suffer!” Shane Yu said calmly.

He checked the time. “It’s getting late. I’ll have you stay for a meal. I’ll take Sharon Yao home in a few days so she can tell you herself. She’s a bit shy right now, so I hope you’ll give her some time.”

Shane Yu intended to use this time to properly teach Sharon Yao to follow his arrangements in everything, including telling her parents that they truly love him. At the very least, if they were to take Sharon Yao away now, he wasn’t sure if she would say she liked him.

“No need,” Sharon Yao’s father straightened up and angrily walked out.

Shane Yu smiled and nodded fearlessly at his older brother!

This angered his second brother, who turned and left.

After they all left, Shane Yu felt hungry and thought it was time to go back and have dinner with the little girl.

Back in the bedroom, he saw Sharon Yao crying in bed.

Shane Yu approached me with a hint of concern. “Why are you crying?”

I frowned, my face contorted in pain. “My whole body aches! I need to go to the bathroom, but I can’t move at all.”

Hearing this, Shane Yu couldn’t help but laugh out loud. “Why don’t you call the housekeeper and ask her to help you?”

“I feel so embarrassed!” I cried, tears streaming down my face.

“Okay, stop crying. I’ll carry you there.”

Shane Yu walked to my side, effortlessly picked me up, and went into the bathroom.

“Put me down quickly. Get out of here, or I won’t be able to go.”

“Oh? So you still don’t really need to go to the bathroom!” Shane Yu said with a mocking smile.

Sharon Yao sat helplessly on the floor, her expression a mixture of wanting to cry and fear, which completely broke Shane Yu’s heart.

He quickly went over, picked her up, and showered her, using a towel to dry her body and blow-dry her hair.

Then he applied ointment to her wounds.
