Time flew by, and the day for our agreed-upon trip to Changbai Mountain arrived in the blink of an eye.

The day before departure, Felix Xu posted the meeting point and time in the group chat, reminding everyone again, “Remember to bring warm clothes, it’s very cold in Changbai Mountain!”

Upon seeing the message, everyone replied “OK.”

I also informed Shane Yu of my plans for the next day: “I’m going to Changbai Mountain with my classmates tomorrow, and I won’t be back until tonight.”

The car was warm and cozy. I took off my coat, and because I hadn’t slept well the night before, I fell asleep as soon as I leaned back in the comfortable van seat.

In my dream, Chris He came to me and said, “I know you don’t like Shane Yu. Come with me, I’ll take you away from him, and we’ll live somewhere new.”

I took Chris He’s hand, and just as we were about to run out, Shane Yu blocked our way.

Shane Yu glared at us with a vicious look, his eyes like sharp knives piercing Chris He. He yelled that he was going to break Chris He’s legs.

I ran over and stopped Shane Yu, shouting, “No, don’t break Chris He’s legs! I’ll never dare to leave you again!”

Shane Yu angrily slapped me, roaring, “You like him, don’t you? Your love will kill him! I’ll make you watch him die!”

Then Shane Yu pulled me up and gave orders to the others. I saw Chris He lying on the ground, blood staining the floor.

“No!” I screamed, opening my eyes. I found Tank Gu sitting next to me, my hand still holding his.

“What’s wrong with you?”

Tank Gu frowned at me, then immediately pulled his hand away.

“I’m sorry… I… I had a nightmare!” I said apologetically.

“You can have nightmares, but remember to keep your distance from me!” Tank Gu leaned back in his seat, arms crossed over his chest.

“I know…” I mumbled, trying to calm the panic brought on by the nightmare.

“Tank, can’t you have a little bit of gentlemanly manners!” Simon Hu overheard our conversation and said.

Tank Gu grabbed the snacks beside him and threw them at Simon Hu. “You’re talking nonsense!”

Simon Hu felt Tank Gu’s anger. “I’m not saying anything more, you’re the boss!” The car slowly drove into Changbai Mountain.

Changbai Mountain in winter is like a dreamlike snow-covered wonderland. The snow-covered peaks are magnificent and awe-inspiring. The lakes in the mountains are frozen solid, like giant mirrors reflecting the sunlight and sparkling with crystalline light. The cold wind howls, blowing snowflakes into a swirling dance, the pure white snowflakes falling and covering the earth with a thick silver blanket.

The branches of trees on Changbai Mountain were laden with crystal-clear icicles, resembling exquisite works of art. Bathed in sunlight, the frost-covered trees shimmered with a mesmerizing light, making one feel as if transported to a fairytale world.

Our group, bundled up in thick clothing, played joyfully, laughing and frolicking in the snow, seemingly forgetting all our worries in our laughter.

Charlotte Wang and Simon Hu chased each other playfully, while Snow Chen and Felix Xu had a snowball fight.

I built a snowman nearby, while Tank Gu sat watching the beautiful scenery. Snowballs occasionally hit Tank Gu and me.

We joined in the snowball fight, eliciting bursts of cheerful laughter. The cold temperature did not dampen our enthusiasm; instead, it made us cherish this precious time of joy even more.

When we were tired, they gathered together for a group photo. Felix Xu and Snow Chen stood very close, while Charlotte Yang and Simon Hu hugged each other. Tank Gu and I kept our distance, but all of us beamed with happy smiles. Click! A group photo was taken.

This photo is our most precious memory, a pristine white world, an unforgettable experience for the rest of our lives.
