Chapter 49:

Dinner Party

After being knocked to the ground, the lewd man, oblivious to his fate, shouted at Alex Xie, “Brother Liu! Your brother got beaten up!”

Just then, ten men emerged from the bakery across the street. They looked menacing and intimidating.

Shane Yu, seeing this, was furious, but having already drunk quite a bit, his strength was clearly waning. He roared at Gangzi beside him, “Gangzi, get some help right now!”

“Yes, Brother Yu!” Gangzi swayed as he picked up his phone to call for backup. He too had drunk a lot and was now quite drunk.

Seeing the situation was turning against me, I rushed to Shane Yu. He pulled me into a tight embrace, his eyes filled with anger and concern. He lowered his voice and roared in my ear, “Where did he touch you?”

I felt a surge of humiliation and hurt, lowered my head, and whispered, “He…he touched my butt.”

Hearing this, Shane Yu’s face grew even more grim and menacing.

Meanwhile, the group of people coming out of the bakery across the street, who weren’t as drunk as we were, noticed Gangzi and quickly walked over, greeting him warmly. One of them laughed and said, “Isn’t this Brother Gang? We’re all on the same side, don’t cause any misunderstandings.” Gangzi glared fiercely at the man and coldly asked, “Who are you?” The man quickly smiled obsequiously, “I’m Xiao Liu! My older brother has been following you around. My older brother is Lao Li.” Gangzi frowned and impatiently retorted, “And who’s that guy lying on the ground?”

“My brother! Did he offend you? I’ll make him apologize to you.” He kicked the lewd man.

“You dare mess with Brother Gang? Go apologize to Brother Gang!”

“No need. Your brother dared to touch my sister-in-law’s butt! It’s not something that can be resolved with just an apology.” Gangzi said fiercely.

The man knelt on the ground, kowtowing repeatedly. “I really didn’t know she was your sister-in-law! If I had known she knew you, I wouldn’t have dared to look at her.”

Shane Yu gave Gangzi a look.

Gangzi walked over and violently slapped the kneeling man twice. “Go kneel down and kowtow to my brother Yu!” The man, his face covered in blood, kowtowed to Shane Yu and me.

Looking at the blood on his face, I couldn’t tell if it was from kowtowing or from being slapped.

I turned to Shane Yu. “I…I’m a little afraid of blood.”

Shane Yu’s eyes were fierce and angry as she pulled me closer. “What are you afraid of? If he wants to kowtow, let him keep kowtowing!”

The sleazy man kowtowed on the ground for a long time.

The men Gangzi called arrived. More than thirty people got out of the van, each carrying a baseball bat and a machete, and they strode in menacingly.

“Shane Yu, let it go!” I looked at the blood on the ground and pleaded with Shane Yu in her arms.

Shane Yu frowned and glared. “Which hand did you touch her with?”

The man mumbled, “I really wouldn’t dare.”

Shane Yu said coldly, “If you don’t know, then you might as well kill both hands!”

The one called Brother Liu was anxious, “Big Brother is asking you a question! Speak up!”

“I…left hand,” the man on the ground said.

Shane Yu gave Gangzi a look.

Gangzi walked up to Brother Liu with a knife.

“If you can’t manage your own underlings, deal with it yourself.”

“Brother Gang, can you spare my brother! He’s young and doesn’t know any better. I’ll definitely teach him a lesson when we get back!” Brother Liu pleaded.

Gangzi fiercely raised his hand and punched Brother Liu. “If you don’t do it, none of your brothers here today will leave alive.”

Brother Liu looked at the group of men Gangzi had called, and fearfully turned to his kneeling brother, slashing with his left hand.

Blood gushed from his wrist like a fountain.
Seeing the scene, I was too frightened to speak and hid in Shane Yu’s arms.

Shane Yu patted my head, comforting me, “Don’t be afraid, you’ll get used to these little things!”

Shane Yu stood up to ease the tension. “That was really careless of you, call an ambulance!”

Brother Liu got up to call an ambulance.

Shane Yu glared viciously at the lewd man and kicked him six times.

“Ah! Ah…” the lewd man screamed in pain.

Shane Yu’s face was ashen, his anger not subsided by the man’s punishment. He said coldly, “Thank God I don’t kill during the New Year. Otherwise, you might not be alive.”
Brother Liu nodded repeatedly, promising to teach his brother a lesson. Shane Yu didn’t want to linger any longer; he took my hand and prepared to leave.

“Wait, Brother Yu,” Xiao Liu called out to Shane Yu. “This time, my brother was being disrespectful and offended your wife. I apologize to you, and I hope you’ll forgive him. If you ever need anything from him in the future, just let me know.”

Shane Yu glanced at him and said coldly, “No need.” Then he led me out of the restaurant. Gangzi, Alex Xie, and Ian Shen followed behind, and the group left silently.

In the car, Shane Yu held my hand tightly, as if to tell me he would protect me.
