A bitter smile tugged at the corner of my mouth.
“Are you hungry? What do you want to eat later? Auntie will go buy it for you.”
“No need, let’s order takeout!” I mainly didn’t want my aunt to leave; I didn’t want to be alone with Uncle Shane Yu.
Then my aunt’s phone rang. Someone downstairs had precisely scratched her car.
“Sister-in-law, you go handle it! I’ll take care of her.” Shane Yu said gently, even considerately pouring me a glass of water.
“Then Sharon, listen to your uncle, call me if anything happens.” My aunt instructed, rushing downstairs to deal with the car scratch.
“Uncle, aren’t you busy at work? I can take care of myself.” I saw my aunt leave; I really didn’t want to be alone with him.
Shane Yu looked at me coldly, “I just changed you to a private ward, and instead of thanking me, you’re kicking me out?”
I clearly thanked you just now. “Thank you so much, Uncle!” I emphasized the word “Uncle.”
Shane Yu walked over and forcefully grabbed my hand. “Thanks, but it’s not like that.” Then he kissed my cheek, which I dodged. He grabbed the back of my neck and kissed my lips passionately.
My face flushed red, and I pushed him away.
Shane Yu frowned, displeased, and glared at Sharon Yao as she pushed him away.
I noticed his displeasure and said pitifully, “Don’t do this, Uncle, my feet hurt, and my wrists hurt too.”
Shane Yu released her, a hint of heartache flashing in his eyes, but mostly resentment. He had plenty of time today, and he had to make it clear to Sharon Yao that she could only belong to him, Shane Yu.
After a while, Shane Yu asked in a low voice, “Are you hungry? What do you want to eat?”
Sharon Yao bit her lower lip, “Anything is fine!”
Shane Yu ordered a table full of food: pig’s trotters, chicken soup, braised pork, ribs, and a whole bunch of other things…
“Too much, we can’t eat it all.”
“It’s okay, try it all.” Shane Yu ladled out a bowl of chicken soup and handed it to me.
I took the drink and sipped it. I noticed Shane Yu’s intense gaze, fixed on me.
“Eat some more meat,” Shane Yu said, placing a piece of braised pork on my plate.
“I don’t like fatty meat.”
Shane Yu carefully removed the fatty part and gave me the lean meat.
“Eat this!”
I took it and ate it in small bites, finding it rather tasteless.
After the meal, he kept working on his phone.
Looking outside, I realized it was getting late and couldn’t help but wonder, “It’s so late, isn’t he planning to leave yet?”
I couldn’t bear the awkward atmosphere any longer, so I finally spoke up, “Uncle, thank you so much for today! If you have other things to attend to, you can leave without worry. Don’t worry about me, I can take care of myself perfectly well!”
Shane Yu frowned and said firmly, “I won’t leave here today.”
However, when I heard Shane Yu’s reply, my heart sank. Because this private hospital room contained only a hospital bed and a small single sofa. So, how would he rest tonight?
Just then, Shane Yu’s gaze, filled with desire, fixed on me, as if conveying a message—we would share a bed tonight.
Then, he slowly approached me, gently lifted me up, and whispered in my ear, “Let’s go wash up together.”
…On the large bed in the private hospital room, Shane Yu held Sharon Yao tightly in his arms. He noticed her red and swollen eyes, tears still welling up, glistening. Sharon Yao, held in Shane Yu’s arms, looked sorrowful and aggrieved.
Just now, Shane Yu had only pressed Sharon Yao down and indulged himself.
“I was very gentle, why are you crying?” Shane Yu questioned, dissatisfied. He had only gone to the bathroom twice and to bed once.
“I’m your man, this is normal communication, don’t cry every time!” He took a tissue and tenderly wiped Sharon Yao’s tears.
Sharon Yao felt hurt; her foot ached, but her heart ached even more. She took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down.
Shane Yu had to do this today. Although she wasn’t sure if Sharon Yao had twisted her ankle intentionally, Shane Yu wanted to show her that even injury couldn’t keep her from him, lest she deliberately hurt herself again in the future.
