Chapter 33:

Punishment 2

“We haven’t seen each other for so many days, haven’t you missed me at all? Why can’t you contact me first?”

Shane Yu fired off a series of questions, unwilling to accept the situation.

“Waaah…” I sobbed, only my tears answered him.

Shane Yu pulled her onto his lap, his wrist gripping her chin, forcing Sharon Yao to look into his eyes.

“I’m talking to you, answer me!”

“I was afraid of disturbing your work,” I said, my eyes red from crying.

“I’m asking you if you have me in your heart?”

“I…” I trembled with fear, hesitant to say no.

“Speak to me!” Shane Yu’s eyes instantly turned icy cold.

I wiped away my tears, my heart filled with panic and unease.

“If I say no, will you let me go? Or will you be even more cruel to me?”

Shane Yu’s expression began to contort. His heart was truly pierced. It was a suffocating feeling, like he couldn’t breathe. There was no need to ask; Sharon Yao didn’t have him in her heart.

He pulled her around and led her towards the bedroom.

…Exhausted from crying, Sharon Yao said, “I want to go home.”

“This is your home from now on.”

“Shane Yu, you’re a beast!”

Shane Yu looked at the defiant Sharon Yao, let out a cold laugh, and continued, “You don’t want to make our relationship public, I’ll do it for you. You don’t want to stay here, you’ll stay here every day from now on. You don’t want to contact me, you’ll follow me wherever I go.”

Tears streamed down my face, but my heart ached even more. My lips trembled as I pleaded, “Shane Yu, I beg you, please let me go!”

Shane Yu furiously grabbed Sharon Yao’s neck, veins bulging, and roared at her angrily.

“Swallow those words! If I hear you say you want to leave me again, I’ll kill you! I, Shane Yu, will not allow you to utter the words ‘leave me’!”

He slowly released his grip on my neck.

My face was pale and sullen, I gasped for air, a deep sorrow welling up inside me from his torment.

“You’ll remember this today: I am your man, your husband, your everything! From now on, you will obey me in everything!”
Shane Yu warned Sharon Yao fiercely.

“Shane Yu…do you have to be so cruel?”

My tears flowed uncontrollably like a broken string of pearls.

“Be good, don’t make me lose control and want to abuse you while you’re crying.”

Shane Yu gently patted Sharon Yao’s face.

I looked at his hand beside my face, and bit it angrily, drawing blood.

He grabbed my neck and demanded angrily.

“You deserve it, don’t you?”

His brows furrowed, glancing at my bitten finger and my angry glare.

He whispered in my ear, “You’re not going to school tomorrow or the day after?”

“…Shane Yu, you’re such a beast…”

Shane Yu looked down at Sharon Yao and said, “Call me ‘husband,’ and I’ll be gentler with you.”

Sharon Yao bit her lip hard, her eyes glaring defiantly at Shane Yu.

“Still need a beating…won’t you call me ‘husband’ or not!” Shane Yu gripped her slender waist and pinched her hard.

“Let me go…ah!”

Shane Yu looked at the young, beautiful face before him. Despite all the torment he had suffered.

Her face was still small and beautiful, her large, bright eyes glistening with tears, veiled in mist, making her look fragile yet beautiful.

The man thought, how could this thing be so adorable? He could probably never get enough of looking at her. He then pinched her chin, lifting her face.

He gently kissed her again.

The morning sunlight streamed in, my limbs ached. I was still lying in Shane Yu’s arms when there was a soft knock on the door.

“Mr. Yu, your brother and sister-in-law, along with a couple, are here outside. Should we bring them to the living room?” It was the middle-aged housekeeper, Aunt Li, speaking from outside.

Shane Yu opened his eyes and saw my swollen, red eyes and bruises all over my body—his handiwork from last night. Even though they were going to make their relationship public, he still wanted to leave a good impression on Sharon Yao’s family.

“Take them to the living room of the villa next door. I’ll tidy myself up before meeting them.”

“Yes, boss!” the housekeeper replied, her footsteps disappearing.

Shane Yu sat up abruptly and got up to get dressed.

I remembered my family calling me many times last night, and Shane Yu was the last one to answer. I was dizzy and couldn’t hear what he was saying. My family arrived early this morning.

I tried to get up with some difficulty but ended up falling back onto the bed. In a hoarse voice, I asked, “Is it my family?”

Shane Yu frowned and helped me up. “Don’t move. Rest in the bedroom for a while. We’ll eat together after I’ve talked to your family.”

“What do you want to talk to them about?” I asked, frowning with displeasure.

“Our future. I promised you I would take responsibility for you.”

“I don’t want a future with you…” I whispered.

His eyes sharpened instantly. He grabbed my wrist and squeezed it tightly, as if he wanted to crush my bones.

“Sharon Yao, wasn’t yesterday’s lesson enough for you? If you’re not happy being my woman normally, then I’ll arrange for you to go to Shengcheng Venus. How about I go to prostitute you every day? I’ll let you know that the customer is your god.”

I glared at him fiercely without saying a word.

Shae Yu looked at Sharon Yao’s defiant eyes. “Don’t think that just because I like you, I can’t push you to the dust. Don’t you have pride? Don’t you have dignity? I can destroy all of that.”

“I… I’d rather die…” I replied defiantly.

Shane Yu grinned menacingly, his voice chilling as he said, “Sure! But since I like you so much, I can’t let you leave alone. How about I send your parents down with you?”

“You bastard! You…” Tears streamed down my face with rage.

My eyes burned with hatred, as if I wanted to pounce on him and bite his neck to pieces!

Instead, I bit down on his wrist, which was resting beside me, the bitter taste of blood filling my mouth.

He raised his hand, aiming a slap at my face.

I closed my eyes. I felt a gust of wind.

Shane Yu stopped just before his hand reached me. Instead, he grabbed my hair and whispered in my ear, “If I were you, I’d be smarter. You can’t fight city hall. If you provoke me again, I’ll really get you. You’ll be crying your eyes out.”

His other hand gripped my chin tightly. “Do you understand?” Shane Yu’s chilling voice sounded like a demon from hell.

Tears streamed down my face, his blood still lingering at the corner of my mouth. I nodded fearfully at him.

Shane Yu watched me nod, a satisfied, sinister smile spreading across his face. “I’ll get my revenge on you tonight for the injury on my hand.”

Then he got up to wash, instructing before leaving the bedroom, “I’m going out. There’s a phone by the bed; press 1 to call the housekeeper. Tell her if you need anything.”

I nodded, still a little scared.
