Chapter 6:

Shane Yu's Jealousy

Chris nodded slightly in agreement, then took my hand and we stepped out of the performance hall.

The air outside was fresh and pleasant, invigorating. At that moment, the night sky was ablaze with colorful fireworks—red, green, and yellow—a breathtaking sight.

I leaned against the railing by the river, my gaze fixed on the dazzling fireworks, and couldn’t help but exclaim, “So beautiful!”

Chris He gazed at me with deep affection and whispered, “The person before you is even more beautiful!”

I instinctively turned my head, our eyes meeting. Instantly, the surrounding noise seemed to disappear, leaving only the echoes of our heartbeats. A faint blush rose on both of our faces.

Then, Chris He stepped forward and hugged me, gently kissing my cheek. Just as I was immersed in this tender moment, his next kiss landed on my lips.

I was startled, but quickly regained my composure. “You…”

Before I could finish, Chris He whispered gently in my ear, “I like you!”

I hadn’t even had a chance to respond.

But then, Shane Yu suddenly appeared before us, his once handsome face now icy cold. He pushed Chris He’s arms away from me without hesitation.

I hurriedly tried to explain, “I…”

“What do you mean, ‘I’? What are you doing? Why aren’t you home so late?” Shane Yu’s tone held a hint of reproach.

“I’m going home right now,” I quickly explained.

My heart pounded; I just wanted to escape this place as fast as I could, but he had seen me with Chris He. This was terrible! What if my mother found out?

Shane Yu’s eyebrows shot up, his eyes blazing with anger: “I’ll take you home!” With that, he strode towards me and grabbed my hand tightly.

I was startled and tried to break free, saying, “No need, I can go back myself.” However, his strength was too great, and I couldn’t escape at all.

At this moment, my aunt came over and gently advised, “Shane Yu, it’s normal for young people to date. Sharon is all grown up now, let’s not worry about it.”

Shane Yu glared fiercely at my aunt, his eyes seeming to spit fire, instantly silencing her.

Then, Shane Yu forcefully dragged me away. I struggled while looking at Chris He with pleading eyes.

Chris He knew he couldn’t confront the person in front of him. He was filled with worry, but he couldn’t confront her directly. He could only say in a sincere and firm tone, “My feelings for Sharon Yao are genuine, please don’t blame her.”

Shane Yu, however, was unmoved and roared furiously, “Get out of my way!” His voice was deafening, he was so angry he almost ground his teeth to powder, his eyes fixed on Chris He, filled with resentment.

Chris realized he couldn’t completely break ties with the person in front of him, so he could only stand there helplessly, watching Shane Yu lead him away.

“Chris, I’m going home now, you go ahead!” I watched Chris say goodbye.

“Sharon, be careful! Message me when you get home.”

I was about to reply when Shane Yu glared at me with his cold eyes.

“Why are you glaring at me like that? I was just making friends normally,” I protested.

Shane Yu roared angrily, “Making friends normally, and you’re not home this late? Are you even kissing him? If I hadn’t stopped him, which hotel were you planning to go to tonight?”

My face flushed red and then paled. I frowned, angrily trying to shake off his hand. “Let go of my hand! What are you saying? What hotel?”

“You’re getting bolder and bolder, daring to come out dressed so nicely and flirt with other men. Are you that desperate for a man?” he roared furiously.

Many people around us cast curious glances at us. Their eyes were filled with doubt and surprise, as if they were guessing what had happened between us. An uninformed person might mistakenly think I had betrayed him, and that he had just witnessed it.

However, that wasn’t the case.

“Who I’m with is my freedom, you have no right to interfere!” I straightened my posture and retorted defiantly.

Sane Yu, his face grim, grabbed my wrist without a word and forcefully dragged me towards his car. I tried to break free, but his strength was too great for me to resist.

“Auntie is still in the back! Where are you taking me?” I asked anxiously, my heart filled with unease.

Sane Yu didn’t answer my question. He walked straight to his Bentley, opened the door, and then shoved me inside.

“What are you doing?” I asked in a panic, my eyes flashing with fear.

He got into the car, quickly closed the door, and lunged at me. I desperately tried to dodge, but his movements were too sudden, leaving me no time to react.

A wave of panic washed over me, and my body trembled uncontrollably. He held me tightly, pulling me forcefully into his arms.

The moment Shane Yu saw that boy kiss Sharon Yao, a surge of intense anger and madness welled up within him. His blood seemed to boil, his entire body engulfed in rage.

At this moment, he felt his beloved possession about to be touched by another, a feeling that nearly drove him mad. He inhaled the faint rose scent emanating from Sharon Yao, completely losing control of his actions.

I struggled beneath him: “Are you crazy? Let me go!”

He sneered: “Don’t you like men? Let me show you.”

He stroked my hair with his large hand, turning his head closer to me, his cool nose seemingly nuzzling my face affectionately. Before I could react, his kisses were already raining down on me. He kissed me fiercely and forcefully, as if he had been restraining himself for a long time, finally releasing his pent-up emotions.

His hands began to roam freely over my body. I tried to stop him, but he slipped his tongue into my open mouth, his kiss carrying the scent of tobacco and the sweetness of red wine. For a moment, my mind went blank.

He kissed me until I was almost suffocating before finally releasing me.

“How could you kiss me?” I asked Shane Yu, bewildered.

He stroked the back of my neck and whispered in my ear, “I can do whatever I want.”
